  Xigris



Xigris

   Xigris is a prescription or over-the-counter drug which is (or once was) approved in the United States and possibly in other countries. Active ingredient(s): drotrecogin alfa activated. Xigris is the only therapy that increases survival in adult patients with high-risk severe sepsis. It reduces microvascular dysfunction by reducing inflammation and coagulation, and increasing fibrinolysis.

Xigris
Xigris is a prescription or over-the-counter drug which is (or once was) approved in the United States and possibly in other countries. Active ingredient(s): drotrecogin alfa activated. To do this, the immune system starts a cascade of actions that causes active cells to gather at the affected location. It is these cells and fluids that cause the redness, swelling, heat and pain.

Coagulation
In medicine, the clotting of blood. The process by which the blood clots to form solid masses, or clots.

Fibrinolysis
The natural enzymatic dissolution of FIBRIN.
