Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy A procedure in which a doctor uses an endoscope to examine the health of the uterus.

Endoscope A small, flexible tube with a light and a lens on the end. It is used to look into the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, colon, or rectum. It can also be used to take tissue from the body for testing or to take color photographs of the inside of the body. Colonoscopes and sigmoidoscopes are types of endoscopes.
Uterus The uterus is a hollow, pear-shaped organ located in a woman's lower abdomen, between the bladder and the rectum, that sheds its lining each month during menstruation and in which a fertilized egg (ovum) becomes implanted and the fetus develops.

Horizontal cells Cells in the retina connected via gap junctions that mediate lateral information transfer over large distances.
