EAAT2 Protein

   A high affinity glutamate/aspartate transporter found in ASTROCYTES and in the liver. It action can be coupled to the co-transport of potassium, sodium or hydrogen ions.

Affinity
A measure of the binding constant of a single antigen combining site with a monovalent antigenic determinant.

Liver

It exists, under normal conditions, as a colorless, odorless, tasteless, diatomic gas. Hydrogen ions are PROTONS. Besides the common H1 isotope, hydrogen exists as the stable isotope DEUTERIUM and the unstable, radioactive isotope TRITIUM.
